Tamra Boltjes: 

President

Tamra Boltjes moved to Sayulita in the year 2000 and owns and operates Sayulita Rentals, a local vacation rental business. She has worked with many groups in Sayulita assisting in making Sayulita a better place to live in regards to roads, recycling, garbage pick up, etc. After having a daughter she noticed the need for an alternative educational system in Sayuilta. She spent 2 years working on this project until Costa Verde opened its doors in 2009. Tamra continues to work with the school and she volunteers with the children and teachers as well as the contributing to the town of Sayulita and it's growing infrastructure. Tamra currently acts as the President of the Board of Directors for Ninos del Sol.

Anne Ackermann/Menke

Secretary

Anne Ackermann is a German photographer (working under her maiden name, Menke) who has worked throughout Europe for well known companies such as Elle Magazine, Vogue Magazine, Cartier, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren.  She has photographed several celebrities such as Jennifer Connelly, Rachel Weisz, Hillary Swank and Christina Applegate and has written a book entitled "Our New York" in conjunction with clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger with all sales donated directly to the Twin Tower Funds.  Anne currently acts as Board Secretary for Ninos del Sol.

Cristina  Hernandez

Cristina  Hernandez joined Ninos de Sol in 2023 after falling in love with the mission vision and values of Colegio Costa Verde Intl. school where her two daughters attend school. She wanted to support the school’s fundraising needs and give back to the community.

Cristina is a Part-Time professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, campus Guadalajara in international business since 2014.  She also supports the international digital education department for the university.  During her career, she has led international collaboration projects online. She has taught many courses on campus such as: doing business in Mexico, cross-cultural communications, international marketing, and many more.

In addition to teaching, she is the founder of Managed Strategies where she represents foreign brands as their sales representative in Latin America and leads sourcing and manufacturing projects. Prior to this endeavor, she was a trade and investment officer helping British companies expand into Mexico for the British Embassy’s Department of International Trade in Guadalajara. She is from Orange County, California. 

Lina Weissman

Treasurer

Lina Weissman, Ph.D is a licensed child psychologist who has participated in non-profit management for over 10 years.  Her interests lie in promoting evidence based practices, professional training and field research.  With a background in school psychology, Lina has spent most of her life supporting administrative and educational issues faced by teachers and students.
